i just have to start off by saying i’m a huge sweet potato girl! there’s so much you can do with them & they’re so yummy!! you can throw a little cinnamon & sugar and have a sweet vibe or put some savory seasons on them & have the most delicious combo of sweet & savory!!! ⁣ some of you have been asking for foods that you can cook one way & then eat others! i made this sweet potatoes last sunday. throughout the week, i ate them three different ways! first, just simply a side w my chicken! then, i got bored with my dinner so i made a rice bowl & threw them in there! i also got bored with my spinach salad for lunch, so i threw them on there & are them cold!! ⁣ sweet potatoes are super cheap! i used two and ate them for 5 days, sometimes twice a day! get a bag of them, store them in a cool dry place & youll always have a back up, yummy, healthy side dish at your finger tips!! ⁣ ingredients:⁣ • 2 sweet potatoes⁣ • olive oil ⁣ • minced garlic ⁣ • salt ⁣ • pepper ⁣ •other spices⁣ directions⁣ •preheat your oven to 400°⁣ •chop your sweet potatoes into cubes •line a cookie sheet w foil ⁣ •put your sweet potatoes on cookie sheet & drizzle w olive oil ⁣ •add your minced garlic (a spoonful or two) and salt and pepper⁣ •mix everything so it’s coated evenly ⁣ •bake for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally ⁣ so in the ingredients i added other spices but then never mentioned them. whenever i make sweet potatoes i just throw random stuff on them & follow no sort of recipe. the recipe above is the fool proof way to make them, but i really encourage you adding more than the salt & pepper!!⁣ if you’re scared of seasoning things, get yourself a few premixed spices at the store! those are already portioned out with the right amount of everything you need. we have a mccormick grill mates called montreal chicken that is super yummy to throw on anything!! once you get more comfortable you can make your own spice blends, but we’ll work in baby steps! ⁣ #homecooking #cookingonabudget #sweetpotatoes #recipe #easycooking #yummy
