i’ll admit it, i’m far from a picky eater. there’s very few things i won’t eat or try. no matter how much i try i cannot eat olives you guys!!! i try every few months hopingggggg my pallet has matured and NOPE!! i have trained myself to loooove cilantro when before i could taste our half a leaf in an entire dish. but brussel spouts...my dad made these alllll the time and ALWAYS forced us to try them (how rude???) and i never liked them. he covered them in butter and cheese and blek no matter what i did not like them. ⁣ oh how the tables have turned. i had to control myself from not eating this entire dish. here’s the thing, they’re covered in cream and cheese and bacon. my mom introduced us to broccoli by covering it in cheese. now i barely even need butter on it for it to be delish! baby steps. don’t just wake up and decide you’re only going to eat veggies. you’re going to hate yourself and veggies! ⁣ here’s the recipe pictured! i just threw stuff together you guys. this recipe is my best guess at what i did. i know it will be yummy regardless!⁣ ingredients: ⁣ • about 20 brussel sprouts (fresh)⁣ • one c half and half ⁣ • one c parmesan cheese (shredded) ⁣ • 1/4 c bacon ⁣ directions: ⁣ • preheat oven to 350°⁣ • put your brussel sprouts in a big pot and fill it w water until the sprouts are about half covered⁣ • bring to a boil for about 5 minutes⁣ • cover a sheet pan in aluminum foil, drain your sprouts and put them on the sheet, drizzle them with olive oil and season w salt and pepper ⁣ • roast them for 10-15 minutes ⁣ • use the same pan you did earlier, add some olive oil and a large scoop of minced garlic⁣ • cut the brussel sprouts in half and toss them into pan⁣ • cook on high heat until sprouts are nice and brown ⁣ • add in half and half, turn down heat to medium and stir constantly for 2-3 minutes ⁣ • add cheese and bacon ⁣ • stir and cook until sauce thickens ⁣ • enjoy!! ⁣ i hope this recipe works for you guys & you start being real life adult by enjoying brussel sprouts ⁣ #homecooking #eatyourveggies #brusselsprouts #babysteps
