ok so just a few weeks ago i posted about those super handy premade rice with yummy flavors ready in 90 seconds. those are super convenient, but sometimes its nice to make things homemade. you aren’t going to be able to get these flavors in premade things. ⠀ this recipe is actually pretty easy. if you are wanting to do just some grilled chicken, or something a little more basic as a main dish, serving this on the side will really spice up your dinner. ⠀ ingredients:⠀ • 4 tbsp butter ⠀ • 2 tbsp minced garlic ⠀ • 1 cup uncooked white rice ⠀ • 1 cup water⠀ • 1 cup milk ⠀ • pinch of salt ⠀ • 1/3 cup sprinkle cheese (grated parm)⠀ directions: ⠀ • add your butter and garlic in a saucepan and saute over medium heat for about 4 minutes, then add rice and coat it in the butter⠀ • add water, milk and salt. bring to a boil. ⠀ • reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. don’t stir it too much, but do make sure it isn’t sticking to the pan ⠀ • add in parm, take off heat and let it sit for 5 minutes. you can sprinkle some parsley on top to look like you really know what you are doing.⠀ #homecooking #makeitfromscratch #easyrecipe #youcandoit
