i hope if you can take one thing away from this page, its that healthy food doesn't have to taste bad. this isn't the healthiest recipe in the world but it is a healthy take on an otherwise pretty heavy meal. if you aren't at a point where you can adapt recipes to bring them down in fat or sodium, that's fine. i can guarantee there's recipes out there for you! ⠀ i made this recipe using ground turkey which is my go to meat! you can use it in place of ground beef and sausage. its healthier and i honestly think it tastes better too! ⠀ ingredients: ⠀ •1 lb ground turkey⠀ • 8 oz mushrooms ⠀ • 1/2 a chopped onion⠀ • 3 tbs minced garlic ⠀ • 12 oz jar beef gravy (low sodium & reduced fat) ⠀ • 1/2 c reduced fat sour cream ⠀ • salt and pepper ⠀ directions:⠀ •in a skillet, over medium heat add mushrooms, turkey, onion and garlic. cook until ground turkey is brown ⠀ • add gravy, sour cream, salt and pepper and cook for 5 minutes⠀ • let sit for a little before you eat, it will thicken a smidge! ⠀ #homecooking #healthyeating #comfortfood
