so i made this recipe with soup in mind...it did not turn out like soup but it did turn out delish!! if you want to make it as soup just use half the amount of noodles!! vegitarian friends, i think this would be equally as yummy w/o the meat! i do suggest adding some sort of spicy, just cause it italian sausage def adds some spice and added flavor! i also had the cutest most fun post typed up for this recipe weeks ago and lost it so this is as good as it’s going to get to folks, and this post has been typed up for weeks but life got crazy and now they’re calling for a frickin foot of snow??? so here’s some warm cuddly comfort food ingredients: • 1 pound italian sausage turkey version • 1/2 onion chopped • 2 big spoonfuls mined garlic • 1 jar red sauce • 1 box penne (1/2 for soup) • 2 c chicken broth (veg works too) • 3 c heavy cream • 2 cans diced italian tomatoes • 1 tbs italian seasoning • 2 c shredded mozzarella • 1 cup shredded parm directions: • cook your pasta and drain • use the same pot add some olive oil and cook your sausage, onion & garlic • drain your sausage and throw that mixture in a bowl and set aside • use the same pot and add broth, cans of tomatoes, red sauce, italian seasoning and heavy cream. bring to a boil stirring constantly! don’t let that milkiness stick to the bottom of your pot! • reduce that to a simmer for about 5 minutes • add in your sausage & cheeses. cook for about 10 minutes. keep stirring occasionally! • remove from heat & mix in your pasta! #homecooking #easyrecipe #soup #pasta #yummy
