click bait got me on this one you guys. i was scrolling through pinterest and saw “2 ingredient flatbreads” while trying to figure out what to make for lunch. i though “omg i need to share this with my turnip peeps”, so i decided to do sandwiches for lunch in a super extra way. ⠀ i was pretty unsure of this recipe…how do two ingredients make a flatbread? i decided to do it anyways, believing in myself enough to not buy any back up ingredients for my lunch this week. ⠀ also, this picture is far from flattering and i really was going to wait until i made them again (who knows when) so i could make them prettier, but that’s not what this account is about. my food isn’t always pretty. usually, one day a week of my meal prep is beautiful, and the rest is just thrown together because i need one good pic. these are far from beautiful, but taste great and i was so proud of myself for making them (idk why because they’re impossible to mess up but i did not think they were going to work and they did)⠀ ingredients: ⠀ • 2 c self rising flour ⠀ • 1 2/3 c plain Greek yogurt ⠀ • ½ tsp salt (my third ingredient)⠀ directions:⠀ • place a cast iron skillet over medium-low heat for about 10 minutes (basically while you do these other steps)⠀ • mix all ingredients, just enough for them to be mixed together well ⠀ • spilt dough into 6 even balls ⠀ • roll out on a well-floured surface – i used the sized of my skillet as a mold of what size i wanted my flatbreads to look like ⠀ • put flatbread in dry and watch for it to fluff up a little, check for brown spots and flip. these burn pretty quickly, so check frequently! ⠀ these are a super fun way to mix up your sandwich prep. i’d say these are closest to a pita and i really struggle to find a pita i like here in town. when you start going for fancier breads, the costs go up. these flatbreads are a very cost ingredient solution. i also think these would make super yummy personal pizza crusts!! ⠀ #homecooking #spiceupyoursandwhich #mealprep #3ingredients #easyrecipe
