here’s a top secret sneak peak into my super messy freezer lol. my point of this post is to advocate for preparing for the zombie appocolypse. in case you didn’t notice i have enough zucchini to last me five-ever. all joking aside, i freeze so much stuff! sometimes a meal makes way too much food for me to eat, even if i eat it all week long. spearfish has the cutest little farmers market so i stock up on zucchini and spaghetti squash while it’s in season & cheap! also the rhubarb in my yard grows 100x faster than i can cook w it, so i have that frozen in there too! i freeze my zucchini and rhubarb in 2 c bags. that’s what most recipes call for, so you can just pull them out & be ready to go! make sure to drain your zucchini before adding it to a recipe! also, i have a gallon freezer bag that i am constantly adding over ripe bananas too. i always have bananas to whip up some bread with! while it’s kinda in the off season for fruit & veggies, if there’s a sale, don’t hesitate to stock up and freeze extras! if you’re worried - just google how to freeze ‘veggie name’ and you’ll be good to go! #homecooking #stockup #freezeit #kitchenhack
